World's largest solid-state hydrogen storage unit commissioned in Jilin

Hoto Engineering, together with China Electric Engineering Hydrogen Energy Technology (Xuzhou), has commissioned a 48,000 Nm³ solid-state hydrogen storage unit at the SPIC Da'an Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Project in Jilin.

The system achieves hydrogen absorption, storage, and release at temperatures below 60°C, offering improved safety, lower space requirements, and competitive costs compared to conventional technologies.

This deployment demonstrates the technical readiness of Hoto's solid-state hydrogen storage solution in a large-scale renewable energy project. Hoto has previously delivered key hydrogen projects, including the world's first large-scale green hydrogen plant and the Beijing Winter Olympics green hydrogen supply system.
