World's first 30,000-ton H-POE plant launched in China

The groundbreaking ceremony for the world’s first 30,000 tons per year industrial plant dedicated to the production of hyperbranched polyolefin elastomers (H-POE) was held in Longyou, Quzhou city, Zhejiang province on November 29.

Hoto Engineering, as the project designer and general contractor, has participated in this landmark construction.

This pioneering project employs an independently developed, highly cost-effective catalyst, utilizing ethylene as the sole raw material for the production of polyolefin elastomers.

Unlike traditional methods that rely on α-olefins and metallocene catalysts, this innovative approach offers significant advantages such as lower investment, reduced costs, and decreased energy consumption.

As the global pioneer in establishing a ten-thousand-ton-level production facility for H-POE, the plant features mild production conditions and the flexibility to switch between different product grades. Upon successful commissioning, it will greatly propel the breakthrough development of China’s polyolefin elastomer industry.
