Hoto is selected to develop POE PDP

The signing ceremony for the process design package contract of a 100,000 tons-per-year polyolefin elastomer (POE) facility, part of Shaanxi Yuneng Energy & Chemical New Material Co Ltd's (Shaanxi Yuneng) integrated epoxy resin project (Phase I), took place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on January 10, 2025.

This project utilizes a self-developed, highly cost-effective catalyst to produce polyolefin elastomers using ethylene as the sole raw material. Polyolefin elastomers are characterized by their superior product performance, significant cost advantage, broad market prospects, and excellent development potential.

This marks the second high-tech process design package that Hoto has been involved with for the Shaanxi Yuneng project. The first collaboration was the design of an 800,000 tons-per-year DMTP integrated plant process package, signed in July 2024. The DMTP technology was jointly developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Hoto Engineering.
