Hoto is selected to develop DMTP Process Design Package
Hoto Engineering is selected by Shaanxi Yuneng Energy & Chemical New Material Co Ltd (Shaanxi Yuneng), a large Chinese State-owned enterprise, to develop the PDP of the DICP-Methanol-to-Propylene (DMTP) for its epoxy resin integrated project. The contract signing ceremony was held on July 27, 2024 in Yulin, Shaanxi province.
The DMTP technology is a type of proprietary process technology converting methanol to propylene, which is jointly developed by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hoto Engineering.
“The DMTP technology will offer Shaanxi Yuneng the most cost effective solution including the efficient utilization of methanol feed, reduction of energy and water consumption, and low operation cost,” said Zhang Han, chairman of Hoto during the ceremony.
“As the first DMTP license project in China, Hoto and DICP will closely work with Shaanxi Yuneng to deliver PDP package and related services according to the contract, and provide the following technical services, which will eventually ensure successful operation of the project,” he added.
